First Runner-Up of Hawaii Accepts Miss USA 2023 Title

 New Miss USA Crowned | CW Network Concerned About Pageant Broadcast

A new Miss USA was crowned May 15, following the resignation of Miss USA 2023, Noelia Voigt. Accepting the title is the pageant's first runner-up from Hawaii, Savannah Gankiewicz. 

During the crowning ceremony held in her home state of Hawaii, the new Miss USA said, "I am so shocked right now. I am just so tremendously grateful. I am incredibly grateful to be standing here today in my home state of Hawaii and accepting this prestigious title. This moment means so much to me. And being surrounded by my loved ones and community has truly fueled me and my motivation to embrace this new chapter. While this decision was not made lightly, I firmly believe that this opportunity was meant for me, and I am ready to make a positive impact with this organization that I hold dear to my heart."

The personal growth that I have experienced has shaped me into a leader and individual, and I am eager to use this Miss USA platform to inspire women to strive for greatness. I am forever grateful for the support of my fellow contestants and the friendships I have formed during my time at Miss USA. I am inspired by the dedication and determination of all the women who graced the Miss USA stage, and I am committed to following in their footsteps as a compassionate and impactful leader. As I embark on this unique reign, I am dedicated to taking action and making a difference. With my background as a certified mental health first aid responder, and training in anti-bullying suicide prevention, I understand the importance of prioritizing your well-being, and advocating for those in need. I believe that the true change starts from within, and I am determined to lead by example and empower the class of 2023, 2024, and beyond, to pursue their dreams and unwavering confidence and courage. Meanwhile the first runner-up to the resigned Miss Teen USA titleholder has declined the offer to assume the role. And the CW Network is reportedly evaluating its obligation to air the live pageants.

Will the Miss USA Pageant be televised this year? Will another Miss Teen USA be crowned? These are the questions on the minds of many pageant people today as the saga surrounding the Miss USA organization continues.
