The New Miss Grand USA is Miss Georgia - Cora Griffen
The Miss Grand USA Pageant welcomed delegates from across the United States to Miami, Florida where they competed for the change to represent the US at the Miss Grand International finals. First the field was narrowed to the Top 12 semi-finalists. I was happy to see 9 out of 12 predicted semi-finalists from my Miss Grand USA predictions made it into the Top 12.
Next, the Top 8 was called revealing 7 of 8 finalists accurately predicted by The Ultimate Pageant Blog.
Then the announcement of the Top 5 Finalists for Miss Grand USA. I was super happy to see 3 out of 5 of my picks were still in the running for the crown!
Finally came the announcement of the winner! As predicted by The Ultimate Pageant Blog Miss Georgia, Cora Griffen captured the title as the new Miss Grand USA.

Arizona - 4RU
Florida - 3RU
Illinois - 2RU
New Jersey - 1RU
Winner - Georgia, Cora Griffen
There was limited coverage of pre-pageant events and introductions of the contestants available to the public, but from what I could see two of my favorites were Miss Florida and Miss New Jersey. I enjoyed the intro videos during arrivals and hope that the producers of this pageant will consider expanding on that for next year. Meanwhile we will be cheering for Cora Griffen at Internationals. She is a strong competitor and honestly should have placed at Miss USA three years ago. This could be her time!
