About the Founder
Cherie Wimberly began her modeling career at the age of 16 and within a few years was traveling the world as a top model for well known publications like Elle, Cosmopolitan, and Vogue. Her childhood dreams came true when she competed on the talent show Star Search as a spokesmodel and was awarded a perfect 4-star victory.
Pageants were more than her hobby; they afforded the opportunity to further her modeling and acting career and she soon earned membership in the Screen Actors Guild, with guest roles on television shows General Hospital and Frasier. In her free time Cherie began coaching aspiring models and pageant contestants, as well as consulting and judging multi-level pageants for children, teens, and adults.
In 2006 she founded the first-ever online pageant directory PageantPeople.com and two years later published the first installments to The Ultimate Pageant® series of titles. Cherie successfully built The Ultimate Pageant® brand which continued to evolve with additional products and the 2013 addition of her Youtube video channel. She earned a spot with Examiner.com writing three columns on the topics of modeling and pageants. Cherie now dedicates her time advocating for children (like hers) with profound autism while continuing to help aspiring models and beauty queens achieve their dreams.
